Each year in the US, retailers implement about $100 billion worth of promotional activities such as temporary price cuts, special store displays, and feature advertisements for frequently purchased items. While the goal is to increase sales of the items in question, are promotions really effective in doing so?

Welcome Weekend 2002 April 18 -20

The Yale SOM Admissions Team will host our annual Welcome Weekend on April 18-20. That weekend will give over 100 admitted students and their families the opportunity to find out first hand what Yale SOM has to offer, with activities ranging from class visits, a Career Development Panel, to our famous New Haven pizza.

Volunteer Opportunities in the Admissions Office

The application process to become an Admissions Interviewer will begin soon. There are also other volunteer opportunities, including Information Session Leaders and Class Visit Hosts.

Professional SIG Strategic Plan Presentations

Two SOM Teams Made it into the Semi-final and Final Rounds of Three Business Plan Competitions!

2nd Annual MBA Jungle Business Plan Challenge

Carrot Capital National Business Plan Competition

Two SOM teams from the Entrepreneurial Business Plan class made it into the finals of a national business plan competition run by Carrot Capital, a NYC based VC.
