MAM Program Update [December 2017]

December 4th, 2017

Greetings from the MAM team! Here at Yale SOM, we are just a few weeks away from our first round application deadline for the 2018-2019 MAM program. This year we are aiming to admit the best MAM cohort yet. As our greatest ambassadors for the program, I’d like to update you on our recruitment efforts at our GNAM partner MBA programs and let you know how you can get involved.

I’d like to request your nominations for next year’s class. Some of our best candidates for the MAM program have come to us through your recommendations, and I encourage you to nominate prospective students who you believe would be a strong fit to the program. It is easy to refer a MAM candidate through the SOM Alumni website. With your help, we can identify the most talented candidates from your GNAM schools and reach out to them to tell them more about the program.

Many of our team members are on the road over the coming weeks to recruit next year’s class. Dean Snyder has just completed a visit to Fudan in Shanghai. I am writing this letter from Seoul where I will visit Seoul National University this afternoon, and then I will be headed to Hong Kong for one-to-one meetings with students at HKUST on December 4. Deputy Dean David Bach will also be visiting HKUST, as well as Hitotsubashi on Monday, December 11. Our new Director of Admissions, Joanne Legler, is making plans to visit AIM, NUS, INSEAD Singapore, and the University of Indonesia in late January, and Dean Jain will be visiting Bangalore in January. Other Fall travel included EGADE, IMD, IE, ESMT, HEC, Renmin, University of Ghana, LBS, UCT, and Sauder. Smurfit – we tried; unfortunately my visit was the same day as Hurricane Ophelia! Our current MAM students are helping out as well: they will soon be traveling and hosting winter break socials for prospective students all over the globe. On campus, we’re scheduling upcoming webinars to connect with prospective candidates virtually and we’re also looking forward to a visit from the University of Ghana next month.

Best wishes,
Melissa Fogerty
