Julia Zupko, Assistant Dean and Director of CDO, is stepping down from her position at Yale to assume the inaugural directorship of career services for the Schwarzman Scholars program, based at Tsinghua University in Beijing. This is a wonderful opportunity for Julia and her selection for the position is a tribute to her abundant talent, her dedication to students, and her remarkable ability to build personal relationships and institutional partnerships that span diverse cultures, multiple languages, and varied organizational practices of recruiting and human capital development. Julia’s departure is undeniably a loss for us. In the last five years, she has led CDO’s steady progress on all measures on effectiveness and outcomes. This has also been a period of substantial growth in CDO’s staffing and financial resources and Julia has helped attract superbly talented colleagues to the team. It is the depth of this team, under Kristy Posocco’s leadership, that gives me confidence that we will attract a luminary new Assistant Dean and Director of CDO while maintaining our momentum through the transition.
Molly Nagler, SOM’s Senior Associate Dean for Executive Education, has graciously agreed to chair the search committee, which will include Kristy Posocco, Bruce DelMonico, Sheri Scully, Kavitha Bindra, Melissa Fogerty, and Diane Temple. If you know of candidates we should consider, please bring them to Molly’s and my attention.
With best wishes,
Senior Associate Dean, MBA Program
